Yesterday, with my daily Ubuntu update, kernel 4.15.0-33 was installed.
Aha, I thought, perhaps now my Ethernet activation after suspension problem is
solved.
But no, it was not to be. Kernel 4.15.0-33 does not solve my problem.
And so I have once again reverted to the earlier kernel 4.13.0-31, w
I have the same problem (driver=r8169),Ethernet does not work after
resume from suspend.
It works perfectly well with kernel 4.13.0-31. In other words the
Ethernet continues to work after resuming from suspend.
But with kernel 4.15.0-32 the Ethernet does not work after resuming from
suspend.

FWIW this has been happening to me for some time.
Single user on this laptop.
Ubuntu 16.04
It doesn't happen all the time, but it occurs sooner if I have been using a
large number of tabs in Chrome.

its the nvidia driver that you get when you select "additional drivers"
if your display works fine without "Additional drivers" then dont
install them. For me however, my display was not working without them
(resolution was much bigger than the actual screen) and once the new
ones became availabl

I too was trying 10.10 and after doing an apt-get upgrade just launches
with a blue screen. Can't login, I tried reverting to 10.04, but had
issues with the drivers there previously as well, and not currently
working. Will try again later when I'm home with my extracted drivers
and backups to see
