Not sure what this means but I was running the Chrome beta and it had
the issue so I uninstalled Chrome and installed Chromium after reading
here that the issue had apparently been fixed in Chromium. Chromium
still had the issue as far as I could tell and after uninstalling it and
reinstalling Chro

10.4 works flawlessly on my freshly installed Ubuntu 10.04 system, frame
rate now shows as being around 200 as well. (same comp as had the bug
previously) I haven't used it much yet but 10.4 looks like a fabulous
release! Thanks for everything you do,

A new version of Stellarium, AWESOME! I would install it and test it out
if I could figure out how to get libqt4-dev (4.6) compiled installed!
Any ideas or help in this regard? I am curious also if 10.3 will be in
the repos in time for Lucid?

Any idea as to whether it will be possible for TB3 to replace Evolution
in Lucid? I doubt the devs will go for it since it is an LTS release but
I am curious if anyone here has any info on this possibility. Sorry for
being slightly off topic.

Nothing noticeable, in fact I think it feels insignificantly, slightly
smoother running Compiz - maybe Compiz blurs the frames together or
something? Anyways, short answer is no. I will mention though that I
noticed today the frame rate had changed from ~25 fps to ~45 fps as was
previously the case
I also confirm this when using integrated Intel graphics.

broken menus at Ubuntu Linux 9.04/9.10 with intel-2.8.1/2.9

This issue is occurring on my regular Karmic install as well(not the
netbook edition). My issue seems to be that back in the day I was
editing the menu and deleted the stupid submenus and ever since I have
had to manually add most every game I install to the game menu because a
shortcut is not auto
I can confirm that this IS an Nvidia issue, just by chance my graphics
card died recently and I have had to use my integrated graphics(Intel)
until I receive my replacement. The logo now looks as it should with no
changes to anything except the reassignment of graphics duties to the
motherboard rat
That may very well be the case, my netbook uses(fairly obviously) Intel
graphics and the Ubuntu logo looks great. The aspect ratio is 5:3 though
so if the aspect ratio really is a factor with this bug then the fact
that my netbook displays it properly is irrelevant.

It also does this on my 16:10 monitor @ 1680x1050, for me it has been an
issue on Ubuntu boot screens as far back as I can remember.

This is very odd but my 'unredirect fullscreen windows' was unmarked so
I checked it and having it checked fixed all my Compiz/gaming woes!!
Thanks! lol

For me Simon's fix worked fine except for the icons, I had to use this
line to restore my icons, and I'm not at all sure why this is different
for me b/c we are all running Karmic here I would think but anyways...

Just in case it is helpful I would like to confirm that the fix has
indeed fixed the issue on my Ubuntu 9.10 system, thanks a bunch
everyone!
