contents, scripts, dependencies, etc. (and it even allowed to install
it).
On Ubuntu 24.04 the newer version of mc no longer does that.

Touchpad problem does not affect me (using HWE kernels).
Fingerprint reader does not work. Unfortunately it's in the list of
libfprint unsupported devices:

I have never been able to fix this problem. It's there "ever since", and
it's still here also with the latest distributions/kernel/ALSA (tried
with kernels up to 3.2.5 and latest ALSA).
That is: the bug also affect *Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, and likely
will affect 10.10 too.

Update: err... above patch fixes the problem only partially.
Suspend/resume works with vesa driver. But still fails using nvidia
proprietary one. :-(

Bug is still present in Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot !
Old suggested workarouds from William Anderson (post #2 wrote on
2009-04-17 and followings) does fix the problem also for me.
Please fix the relevant package(s)!
