some more information: after deinstalling the driver (using jockey) I again installed the driver (clicking the checkbox in jockey) I got jockey-kde.install.1.log (see attachment) last 2 lines: Not loading nvidia_new module; not used in /etc/X11/xorg.conf WARNING: /sys/module/nvidia_new/drivers
