Changed server to MALTA which seems to have solved the problem. Do not
really understand the problem or the solution but it may be that a new
install hangs on the UK server or something about the package is a bug
in the server choice drop down box

This is not an Internet problem as the package will download using SUDO
in terminal. Thought possible that firestarter was blocking but
uninstalled and made no difference. Don't know

When clicking on rubbish bin i expect it to open the rubbish bin
It always launches Banshee. Opening Home Folder then launching Rubbish
bin opens Rubbish
