Thank you - we have just upgraded our mail system from xenial to bionic,
and unexpectedly hit this.
It seems it *might* have other side effects, like breaking indexing
(checks quota before writing files) and potentially writing to Sent and

High priority for us - a b
LTS Ubuntu with -updates shouldn't have this sort of issue - this is,
frankly, unforgivable.
We need a new kernel urgently in -updates, and I'd expect serious
discussions within the kernel team to understand what has caused this
issue and avoid it reoccurring.

The init script defines start_daemon.
So does /lib/lsb/init-functions, included before the script's version.
Consequently the new definition is unused, so ENABLE_DAEMON=0 has no

Come on now - surely this is embarassing?
The regdb on Ubuntu is now almost *2 years* out of date.
As of now, the latest stable version is 2014-10-07.
For all those suffering from this (and VHT issues, etc.), I've found the
Debian testing package to apply cleanly and enable VHT successfully -

It appears it's possible to make rngd pick up the feature properly - see
this page:

@suntong001 mentioned this has been fixed. This patch has now been
included in ddclient 3.8.2 - I guess upgrading to this version would be
the most expedient method to fix the issue.

+1 for what @saviq has mentioned in #10 - I see exactly the same
behaviour. ENABLE_DAEMON = 0 causes upgrade to fail.

Also with Lotus Notes 8.5, which is eclipse based.
Eclipse is using the correct eclipse.ini directive for locating xulrunner-1.9.2.

Better wording... why not accept a lease whereever it arrives from?
What seems to be happening is that NM *ignores* the provided lease
because it's mistakenly waiting for a lease from a different PID.
Things then time out.
Easy workaround: just accept the lease.
Fix: track them PIDs correctly.
-
I still get this bizarre behaviour, though with a slight variation.
I get a connection OK, but about a minute or so later, the interface
gets another lease from a dhclient that NM started, but nevertheless
doesn't regard as a belonging to it (unrecognised PID). NM then *stops*
the interface.
