Since upgrading to Ubuntu noble, I've noticed that the tmux server
stalls when zooming the active pane (prefix + z). Using top -p
${tmux_server_pid} its easy to see that the server will sometimes
consume as high as 60% CPU when servicing this zoom pane operation.

Hi everybody,
I had exactly the same problem and I fixed it.
My laptop asus n71jq was always freezing (several times a day). Even
CTRL+ALT+SysRq REISUB was not working.

I think this bug is related to the default video driver. I had the
problem because a bug prevented me have the fglrx proprietary driver.
When I install the fglrx I solved the problem even with the kernel
2.6.32-19. I think it could be an interesting track for this bug.

At the beginning I thought it was with es_ES only but then I installed en_UK
and it_IT and still the problem persists.
However, after clicking on the error alert, the language seems to load

After a fresh install both GDM and X load with correct resolution.
On another partition, with feisty upgrade to gutsy I had to remove all entries
from xorg.conf except the correct one in order to make it load correctly.
I don't have that partition anymore so I can't keep testing it.

Basically sessions do not get persisted hence any changes are lost after reboot.
Example:
I've added Beryl Manager, Gaim and Firestarter to:
System -> Preferences -> Sessions [Startup Programs]
so I don't have to launch them manually every time I log into the
