If it turns out to be an "issue" with the newer x.org v7.3, that may be
somewhat different from the v7.2, I'll would anyhow consider the whole
problem as a VMWare problem that has to be fixed by the VMWare team. If

I didn't have any issues with Gutsy 7.10 running on x.org 7.2, before
upgrading to Hardy 8.04 which is running x.org 7.3 version. I believe
that users still running Gutsy and downloaded x.org updates to 7.3 faces
the same problems as as Hardy

Ok... That's news to me, since I used VMWare under Gutsy without any kind of
issues. The problems started when I migrated to Hardy (8.04). I even copied the
VMWare binaries from my working Gutsy installation into Hardy, just to see if

It works, but...
It's a little bit Flintstones about it... Were just wondering about the
priority of this bug, as I'll convinced that others use VMWare as well when
testing software and deploying distributions for any reason. It's Hardy related
for sure, since Gutsy didn't have any issues at all
What is the activity regarding this bug?
It's 4 months now since the first report and still no action taken?
Maybe I'll have to revert to Gutsy then, in order run VMWare without problems...
