Just a note... I can't get why the sendsig (for example) does have a
S-link. The script does only handle stop (start is a no-op). Same goes
for umountfs etc.

libreadline6-dev provides libreadline-dev but libreadline5-dev does not.
But lib32readline5-dev does provide lib32readline-dev.
It's a problem with swi-prolog since it requires libreadline-d
There are other problems with the profile shell fragment:
- it assumes that the id never will be higher than the max port
- it guesses that the generated port number is free
- getent gets confused by numeric usernames

It is common to use 32 bit proprietary applications like flashplayer, citrix
and acrobat on a amd64 system. The NSS libraries are a vital part of the system
as it enables programs to lookup user and group information.
To solve this problem today
I don't deploy this package no more so we are not affected anymore.
But I feel the need to say that if a PAM module provider have a serious
approach they must take the problem to run i386 programs on an amd64
system seriously.

I encountered this problem with the ppa package of likewise-open

I think that the tool should know that the files must be readable by all users
to set their policy.

This is a problem at our site. We need to use a workaround where we use
smbclient -k '\\dfs\path\' -c 'list' to get the real path to the server.
Windows administrators feels the need to move things around so we can't
publish the real path instead.
