Public bug reported: Binary package hint: winbind
It is common to use 32 bit proprietary applications like flashplayer, citrix and acrobat on a amd64 system. The NSS libraries are a vital part of the system as it enables programs to lookup user and group information. To solve this problem today we have to extract the nss library from the 32 bit package and install it by hand. I think that this should be provided by the winbind package. Please add the 32 bit nss_winbind library to the winbind package for amd64. ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/694953 Title: missing i386 libraries on amd64 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
