If Ubuntu 24.04.1 hadn't destroyed my printed stuff, I wouldn't have done

The whole thing looks a bit confusing at first glance, but this is how it works

recompile the extension with meson and finally “install over” the standard

I have discovered something new:
I load a .jpg on the desktop and change from 0664 to e.g. 0777, then the
preview image is created immediately, as far as I know.
But now I go to /home/USERNAME/.cache/thumbnails and delete all folders (fail
and large).
Now I click on the desktop with the right mo

it results in a crash with a lot of errors (also lot of as *critical*)
in terminal and the Information about that says, that it is not possible
to run it as sudo or root and without sudo, it crashes too, but the
terminal stays

I thought that my problem could only have been caused by an error in the
cups system.

1.) I Upgraded 22.04.* LTS AMD to 24.04.1 LTS AMD
All was fine - except my Printer has stopped working (this has worked before
the Upgrade!), but is installed again.
