2:0.98.1653+git88b90d9-3ubuntu1

get insane results on the C2Q. The encode isn't finished, but I get an

mencoder was latest version 2:1.0~rc4~try1.dsfg1-1ubuntu1 (and still is)
before and after the problem started to occur.

It's a patch, but it fixes the wrong problem. The bug is in wacomcpl,
that's the program that should be patched.
Going back to old style strings alleviates the problem for some users,
but doesn't solve it long-term, since people can have different tablets
plugged in at a time, and/or multiple tool
gali98, I checked the bug comments and nobody reported it was working
with Karmic. If someone has a tx 2500 and it is working for them in
Karmic, they should indeed report the situation here and close the bug.

Just to mention I still see random crashes here and there, but they
can't be caught by apport, even though I've installed ibus-dbgsym.
Message is:
"The program crashed on an assertion failure, but the message could not
be retrieved. Apport does not support reporting these crashes"
Happened today
Seems fixed with libgtk2.0-0 v. 2.18. No crashes anymore.

Note that the patches only fix the Screen mode (most used mode, only way
to get a decent precision with the devices), the Window mode still draws
off cursor. But it's by far the mode where it's important (even though
fixing the behavior in Window mode would still be a good thing).

Matthieu's debdiff works for me on an Intuos3 tablet with either
Inkscape of the Gimp. Input 100% matches the cursor, with pressure still
there as expected.
It also seems to have fixed Bug #433121, which resulted on an immediate
Inkscape segfault that is not happening any more with the patches in
Darxus, unless I'm mistaken in what you want, you probably need to
subscribe (not assign) motu-release team to this bug, since at this time
in the development cycle you'll need an FFE. You can also add [FFE] at
the beginning of the bug title, since that would make it more clear.

At boot, just after login, I notice the apport icon in the top panel,
which opens a window saying "Your system might become unstable now and
might need to be restarted."
