I experimented this bug not long ago - right now, Im not sure it is exactly the
same, since it's not really random but it happens everytime I run Supertux.
I recovered the folloving kernel log lines rebooting from another partition
after the freeze.

wi-fi icon appears empty, but i have full working wi-fi internet

There's no signal on wi-fi icon. When i press on it i see " No network deviced
available" as inactive menu. And "Eneble Networking" is also grey and i can't
press on. However internet is working.

I followed the comprehensive audio guide but haven't had much success. I
have an HP Pavilion laptop. The sound worked through the speakers when I
had Intrepid x64 installed. I made a clean install-over of Jaunty x64
and now I can only get sound through the headphones.

I can duplicate where running the GUI config tools for SAMBA creates
"msdfs proxy = no". If I manually comment the line and restart the
server, I still can't connect. The Samba client doesn't work either. I
had both the client and server running smoothly on Edgy.

Ok, here is the apt-log file. I´m not really confirm with those things,
but as far as I understood the apt.log, there was a problem with nvidia-
glx. Therefore it might be helpfull for you to know, that I had the
nvidia drivers installed from alberto milones repository.

I had the same problem. The update tool showed a dpkg error in
subprocess while removing old packages such as old kernel etc. Then it
crashed. In fact old kernel 2.6.17-11 was removed, but GRUB was not
amended accordingly.

I'm seeing this problem on Edgy. If I set the Offtime to 30 minutes, it
reverts to 5 hours. If I set the Offtime to 1 minute, it reverts to 1
hour.
