Problems occured also while using kernel 2.6.24-21-server on a nfs server
All freezed cases arrived within few minutes (3 to 4) with around 8Gb of data
transfered form the server to the client.
OS for all nodes: hardy 8.04.2 for amd64

By the way,
As Dan Lenski and davescar, due to kernel panic from Gusty kernel, I use
Feisty kernel on a Gusty upgrade.
Their solution resolved the issue I had with my Samsung YP-K5 (former mp3, now
ogg reader)
