I am unsure what to do with this one. Haven't tested and can't reproduce
this as we don't run this device anymore. Right now, using a "plain"
NetApp FAS-2020, OnTap 7.4 and a 3.8.0 kernel off Ubuntu 13.04, this is

Well, at the very least I fail to reproduce this connecting to a CIFS
share provided by a Windows 2003 Server machine, but I'm not using CIFS
that much asides connecting to the N3300. Looking at my experiments I
did yesterday, this at the very least seems to be the same in 9.04 and
9.10.

Adding to that, however, it _seems_ to be a GNOME related problem. Using
XFCE/Xubuntu desktop (also GTK+-based) on my platform doesn't expose
this issue, no matter whether or not GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1 is set. Can
anyone confirm this, or is this just my system?

installable via Eclipse Update Center rather than apt package management
seems the most common use case related to using Eclipse, so I see the
GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS solution to deal with this. :(

Uninstalling linux-backports-modules did eliminate all the iwl3945

this kernel wasn't yet available, and both the ipw3945 will not work
without it and (as far as I remember my machine) the error doesn't show
