There was a bug that the "Insert Tab" action that it did not overwrite
selected text, but that was fixed actually quite some time ago.
I am able to use the shortcut in KWrite and Kate... I think it should
also appear in all applications that use the KatePart

It seems quite clear that libsvn 1.5.1 is not binary compatible with
libsvn 1.4.x.
This means that all the programs depending on libsvn should also be added to
hardy-backports.
(could be a problem for kdesvn since KDE4.1 is the default in 8.10)

I don't have a 64bit CPU so here is a short command list for patching and
building a .deb (you might need to install development packages):

I have done a temporary fix for the problem by reverting r650963 (hint
from upstreams bug reports..)

(It also includes a system tray behavior fix
I only mentioned the ATI problem as an expression of my frustration with

I checked the patch (kubuntu_84_group_toolbar_viewmode_icons.diff) that
makes the three buttons just one and have made a reverse patch for the
.desktop files. This patch does not affect the binary changes but brings
back the three buttons.
To apply:
cd /usr/share/services/
sudo patch -i /path
The new 1 button for view modes is totally useless as it needs to be pressed
about one second (an eternity) to be able to change the viewmode. Using the
menu is about as fast as this.
Removing the timeout would maybe make this usable.
