I installed wfb manually like you advised here, it loads, but I still
can't load nvidia module itself, the X server just won't start.. The
xorg.conf settings for screen should be OK, when i change the driver
from "nvidia" to "nv" or "vesa", X starts normally. Before I used the

Hi,
I had the same problem and finally solved it by just installing
linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-10-generic, so check out if it's not your case too.
The problem is that there is no metapackage for linux-ubuntu-modules to
keep them up to date with the kernel automatically, one must do it
manually.
