I probably got it. It uses SDL for joystick handling. The difference
between Fedora and Ubuntu is that Fedora uses SDL3 in the SDL2 compat
mode, while Ubuntu uses real SDL2. So the SDL3 probably has a fix.
The following workaround caused it to work in Ubuntu:
SDL_JOYSTICK_DEVICE=/dev/input/js0 win
Although I think the differnce maybe in kernel, because the "lsusb -v"
on Fedora (where it works) and Ubuntu (where it doesn't work) looks
different and joystick evdev symlinks aren't created on Ubuntu, I am
filing it against wine component. If it sees /dev/input/js0 in Ubuntu
and jscal works with

It seems that the sorting function is very very very slow. Sorting _all_
packages by name takes like 1 second, but sorting by "Supported by
Canonical" takes 1 minute ... one would say that sorting by name must be
much slower tha

When updating or installing software using synaptic package manager, it
sometimes fails because packages database gets locked in the middle of
installation, possibly by update manager. Synaptic should lock the
database when starting the installat

Launch synaptic package manager
Click "Supported by Canonical" column as you would want to sort packages by it.
What happens:
Synaptic stops responding, possibly locked in infinite loop somewhere (sort

I have Dell Studio 1535 laptop with Alps touchpad. Scrolling in right
part of the touchpad usually works, but sometimes it just does not. When
it is not working, touchpad tab is not shown in mouse configuration tool
in gnome and there is no way to enable the scrolling again. I
