Binary package hint: synaptic
When updating or installing software using synaptic package manager, it
sometimes fails because packages database gets locked in the middle of
installation, possibly by update manager. Synaptic should lock the
database when starting the installation and unlock when it is complete,
not lock before each separate package is being installed and unlock when
it is installed and than lock-unlock again a again.
