Tests performed: Zoom and Teams see the device again, can stream video
from device (source is OBS Studio installed by existing snap package),
everything back to normal.
If anything, the load on the machine is lower now than before, but I
need to test more to verify this.

Perhaps it is a problem of the upgrade process from 18.04 to 20.04,
there seems to be no conflict between kicad-libraries and kicad-common

Ubuntu kicad-libraries tells me “Breaks: kicad-common (<<
5.0.0~rc1+dfsg1-1~)” but seems to break all versions of kicad-common.
This has the effect that on upgrade, kicad has no libraries (symbols or
footprints).
Manually removing kicad-common and then installing kicad-libra
That last Boolean value answers "can this child be made smaller than its
requisition"?
Could someone with a build environment test whether simply changing this
call to
gtk_paned_pack2 (GTK_PANED (container), widget, FALSE, TRUE);
fixes the issue?

If I understand this correctly it is called date_navigator in the
source. It is mentioned in src/modules/calendar/e-cal-base-shell-
sidebar.c
The construction appears to be at cal_base_shell_sidebar_constructed(),
line 750 at `widget = e_cale
It seems the space is requested by the calendar widget. But this still
has plenty of whitespace.

As far as I understand, this is not a problem with gnome-shell, unless
one wants to remove all limitations.
This particular bug resides within Evolution, since it requests a
minimal size which seems, at least to me, just too big.
The side bar requests too much space.

Just read that other bug. So this is a ten year old bug that nobody has
bothered addressing. IMHO there is no reason for that limit. Everything
Evolution would need to show with the side bar visible is still viewable
with a smaller width. The limit seems completely arbitrary.
Is this configurable
It is the "side bar". If this is visible, Evolution refuses to go below
a certain width (which is just larger than half my screen). Then
maximize-right does not work. How do I remove the size limit with the
"side bar" active?

Probably just very unstable mirroring. I downloaded the fonts with wget
as per the original bug report (needed to restart wget once), and did
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure ttf-mscorefonts-installer
I gave the download directory as path inside the terminal-dialogue that
appears. This solved the problem.
Still seeing this in 17.10. Purging and reinstalling leads to
ttf-mscorefonts-installer: processing...

provided with zesty returns the system to a non-working state.

Affects me too. The imported config said aes-256-cbc. That was read in
as BF-something-or-other. Blowfish, not AES. After setting that to
AES-256-CBC, the thing connects.
You should not "sudo chmod -R 777 /sbin/plymouthd".
Doing this to make "never again appear the popup annoying window" is not
good.
This will make the whole machine available for any local user. All of
it. Any file, any device.

This is erratic. I have blacklisted "radeon" from autoloading by adding
it in /etc/modprobe.d/. I then load it manually in rc.local to be able
to turn the card off. I now can boot on battery fine. Or could. Lately

Just upgraded to 11.04, cannot boot with kernel 2.6.38. The screen
blanks and nothing happens. Booting with 2.6.35 (from 10.10) works fine.
Forcing a reboot and checking the logs tell me that I interrupt in the
