By the way: I have no problems with a PCI x16 Geforce 6200 LE in the

desperately need ICQ on hardy NOW. You can verify via the Launchpad generated
diff that he actually did apply the versionnumber patch only.

I upgraded my server to the version from hardy-proposed. Since the new
make_catalog_backup_awk has exactly the same modifications as I already
had made, catalog backup works fine.
Also the other changes in the package don't seem to cause any
regressions. Note that however I upgraded an existing in

I cannot reproduce the bug as it occured only once after the upgrade to
Hardy. This happened with a lot of applications and I stopped submitting
the bugs after the third one or so. However no further issues since
then.

it seems that your setup is not using the nforce2 cpufreq driver, but
the powernow-k8 driver - which is correct, I think, since the Athlon64
X2 supports PowerNow. (My Athlon XP does not)
So I guess your problem is a different one with similar symptoms only. I

* In the init script I changed the code so that it specifically checks for the
nforce2 driver. This makes it less generic (in case other drivers have a
similar issue), but more reliable against timing issues.
* In post{inst,rm} I added code that installs mandatory gco
