Hi, I am also affected by this bug but not on a Lenovo or Thinkpad
laptop. Mine is an Asus Zenbook UX301L running Ubuntu 17.10. Latest
working kernel version is 4.13.0-36-generic. Patches 37 and 38 cause the
freeze on boot. Adding option noibpb solves the issue (at least with
4.13.0-38-generic).

I'm unable to reproduce the bug: I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04.1 which
ships brasero 2.30.2 and when I tried to generate the TOC file, I run
into bug #605603. To fix this, I installed Brasero 2.31.2-0renbag2 (from
a given PPA) which seems to solve the problem I

(post #101 can be ignored). It seems that disabling plugins only
decreases the occurence probability.

I just realized that I'm wrong. If data given in attached file are
transmitted using SSL, there is no problem. After looking at the source
code of papyon (0.4.3), it seems to be the case as authentification is
done by connecting to https://login.live.com. Sorry for the disturbance.

related to this one. Indeed, the signature does not appear as an
attachement, it is simply not recognized as HTML content. Also, if the

In my case, installing linux-backport-modules-jaunty also solved the
problem. Actually, usplash was not causing the bug but hiding the real
cause : an iwl3945 (or maybe more generally iwlagn) crash.

Althought, I cannot be sure for the kernel BUG as I only saw the end of

refuses to start).

My PC is a Dell Optiplex GX620 with a Pentium 4 (3Ghz) CPU, 1GB DDR-II RAM and
