I guessed the Canon imageClass D420 would work the same way as the D480.
I added the few lines in pixma_imageclass.c to mimic the same behavior,
and sane recognized the scanner and successfully scanned the paper I had
in the flatbed. I've attached the patch.

installing l-b-m-a-k-g worked for my HP MIni 110. Now the VIDEO is
delayed for a few seconds, but that seems to be a different bug, if it's
not just crappy bandwidth :-)

I've noticed that when I un-mute the microphone in the Sound Preferences
dialog, it mutes the Capture input when seen from alsamixer, and vice-

I'm having the same problem with my HP Mini 110, but in my case,
uninstalling pulseaudio didn't get the built-in microphone working in

I just upgraded to the latest gnome-do-plugins, and I still get "Failed
to post 'testing update from gnome-do' to Twitter" whenever I try to
send it. I'm not sure where to look for any log files to verify whether
or not this is the same problem, but it seems suspiciously related.

I just upgraded from gutsy to hardy (beta) today (2008-04-12). When
booting in the 2.6.24-16-generic kernel, apparently everything comes up
read-only, although you can't tell it from the output of "mount":
$ mount
/dev/sda1

This is a regression for breezy.
In Breezy, I had suspend/hibernate and resume working great with my hp
nc6220 notebook. After upgrading to dapper, however, neither suspend
nor hibernate seems to work.
To initiate either, I select Quit.
