the ppa you mentioned is a personal ppa. official uploads to ubuntu are
usually only done when upstream releases a new version, since
maintaining unreleased svn versions is almost impossible (osmo-svn898
was an exception since it fixed a nasty bug and was declared to be
stable by upstream). so this

Could you try starting osmo with an empty profile (i.e. temporarily copy
~/.osmo to ~/.osmo.backup) and see if the crash still occurs?

I also think that the ubuntu specific changes have been fixed upstream.
Note that osmo currently does not build with dash as the default shell
(debian bug #580017). I am really busy now but will try to fix this the
next weekend or so.

As Ubuntu is already in feature freeze for Jaunty, no new upstream
versions are allowed (as long as they don't fix critical bugs), so 0.2.6
won't make it into Jaunty.
A .deb package is already uploaded to Debian Sid and will propagate to
Ubuntu automatically after Jaunty is released. If you want t
