precise xorg.
Upgrading to LTS raring kernel and LTS raring xserver solved the problem. I

Well you don't really need to recompile the module a simple binary hack
could solve the problem. The basic idea is that 1001 is 00989681 in
hex and stored in p4-clockmod.ko as 81969800 a "simple" search for it
and replace it with 80969800. So I did the following hack (far from
being optimal):

Well I've tried to use the gnome-alsamixer with the new Sound Preferences. It
seems that the sound prefs applet works correctly and controls the selected
microphone chanel and capture chanel correctly.
I've just tested it further and it seems pulse audio does not detect the

module-cork-music-on-phone and module-x11-cork-request.

My comment on SATA DVD writing issues seems to bee invalid. I've
compiled a new kernel for myself without SATA PMP. The softreset issue
has gone, but I had to replace the SATA cable to DVD and now it works.
Also I still experience random slowdowns but it happens only when I play some
audio.
