comment #1, but otherwise it looks the same.
Hein's error in comment #7 is something else, though. It mention's MySql
failing to start because of problems locking the log file, and so looks
more similar to the one I filed as bug #57
I read a bit about the current network interface management system and
compared my setup with another Lucid install where networking works
fine. Ashutosh, you're correct: my /etc/network/interfaces should not
contain a line about eth0, Network Manager should pick up the hardware

Jürgen, the output of 'akonadictl start' is totally bogus when it comes
to identifying errors with MySql storage. See bug #578357 for details of
my case, but if you want to find out what the real cause of your problem
is, you have to look in ~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/mysql.err.

This got worse in Karmic. Any font I try to set from the command line
(with the -fn option), results in Emacs trying to use a weird serif font

I see a similar crash, except that I don't need to hold down shift. Just drag
and drop does it. (Although, interestingly, the pointer also has the + sign.)

I ran into an identical traceback on my machine after I installed
Kubuntu 64-bit Hardy. In my case, however, I made zero customizations to
