Public bug reported:
When I start a regular Ubuntu session, the left black/gray (launcher?)
bar shows, but no icons. Mouse-over flashes 'tooltip' descriptions of
what should be there, but otherwise nothing.
The top 'tray' bar shows with its proper icons.
The main desktop area is dead white. No d
Yes, I do, but when I select "other", which is the correct option, it
presents a dialogue box saying "You need to specify a package or PID.
Please see help for more information".
So clearly, the help, which says "If you have a hardware issue or don't

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: unity
Upgraded this week on an HP-510 laptop, and a generic desktop.
Both now reboot at random, (straight to blank text screen, with blinking
cursor, followed by BIOS display and reboot).
Thanks for finally making a version compatible with Windows.

Public bug reported:
The help page "Report a problem in ubuntu" says: "If you have a hardware
issue or don't know the name of the program affected, just type ubuntu-

I have landed here because I have a 2GB (MAX possible) system which has

slow down the multitasking - at present it seems that a process is
