This is not an upstream bug. Just an Ubuntu bug. If you compile gst-
plugins-good0.10 without libsoup-gnome2.4 support, it works but without
gnome system proxy support. Gstreamer plugins are not gnome specific and
this can be smart in some situations (like compiling for MacOSX or
Windows...).

The package Build-Depends should depend upon libsoup-gnome2.4-dev (which
is not the case).
If it only depens on libsoup2.4-dev, Gnome system proxy setup will not
be taken used (if any).
The consequence is that application like rythmbox and other will not use
the Gnome proxy

I have the same problem with my eee Top ET1602. I have build new package
for xserver-xorg-video-intel with the latest version.
You can find them on http://ubuntu.erasme.org/ (files:
libdrm2_2.4.4-1build1_i386.deb and xserver-xorg-video-
intel_2.6.1_i386.deb) (french site).
xorg.conf setup is
