I'm running gnome-shell version 3.6.0-0ubuntu3 and lock screen still
doesn't work. I can't see any gnome-screensaver process running either.

When switching between users in ubuntu 12.10 using gdm a rather
unpleasant behaviour can occur when a locked session unlocks without
password authentication.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Login as user1 (password required)
2. Lock screen
3. Select login as other user
4. Login in use
I think this commit is the solution to the problem and it was first
released in v 3.3 in the upstream kernel.

I use autofs to mount nfs shares but when doing so I'm unable to suspend
my laptop. I get this error message:
