Public bug reported:
Installed the alpha a month ago and didn't experience many issues until
a few days ago. Upon opening firefox, it resumed my previous session,
not as full screen per usual, but I couldn't click tabs or any buttons

I was just made aware that they update the netboot file in lucid-updates
pool instead of the lucid pool. If other people affected by this
download the new netboot it will work. Thanks!

As this bug was marked for the milestone of beta 2 I decided to await
yesterday's release before testing again. Today I tried once again to
do a PXE install on the previous chipset I mentioned in post #16 but it
still doesn't automatically detect and it asks for a driver to be
manually selected.
Thanks for the prompt work on this bug. I can confirm it fixed the
problem with my machine that has nvidia nforce chipset. However, the
problem persists with my amd780 chipset (00:11.0 SATA controller: ATI

I downloaded the new netboot file that was uploaded but still have the

Similar problem now exists in Feisty with my laptop listed above.
Instead of completely locking up the machine it just makes the cpu max
out at 100% making the laptop extremely slow but still able to shut down
safely. Applied acpi=noirq at the end of the boot line in grub and it
fixed the problem
