Hello all,

After I disabled all third-party repositories, the upgrade is working while i'm

I choose the linux-virtual kernel, not knowing this kernel is meant as kernel
for a guest. Appearantly this package doesn't install modules which aren't
needed in such an environment.
In my opinion the installer should warn or at least show the info about choosen
or choosable kernel packages.

Since I decided to try 9.10 a few weeks ago, the problem seems to be
resolved (for me anyway).
A big thanks to the developers!

Same problem here since 8.04.
It all worked well for me on Kubuntu till 7.10.
Updated to 8.04 and later on to 8.10, but the problem didn't resolve.
Now i'm on Xubuntu 9.04 and the problem still exists.

Same here with BCM4306 on Dell Latitude C610 with Kubuntu 8.04
I have updated the kernel from Intrepid-proposed and used the firmware
mentioned by Mike (two posts back). For me the number of transmission errors
makes no difference with the former -much newer- version of the firmware i used.

Confirmed on Kubuntu 7.10 OOo 2.3.0
Not only a named-range problem though. Even with a "normal" =SUM() formula the
col/row range isn't updated.
When you actually do the insert on the row above the row with the formula

Same with my installation of Kubuntu.
Originally installed with Feisty and first upgraded to Gutsy RC2 (can't recall

I'll answer my own question here :-)
>> Do i really need to repartition?
Yes.
After i have grown my /boot partition to have the desired free space,
the upgrade went well for me :-)
Strange though, now with two kernels in my /boot folder/partition, the used
space is around 20 MB.
Why the upgrad
As i reed the main.log it seems the upgrade needs 40 MB free space on the /boot
partition. My /boot partition is just 49,4 MB and contains the files for just
one kernel.
Do i really need to repartition?
Thanks for your interest,
Bert
