Same problem for me. It appears also when i move a window ("works" always when

I'm not sure that my problem depends of alsa-driver but it's a sound
problem.
My sound card works perferctly after a fresh install.
If I install nvidia-glx-new the troubles begin :
- no more system sounds
- amarok play but there is no sound
- same thing for vlc, mplayer, f

Same problem with my ATI FireGL v5200 which needs fglrx.
I try to install linux-restricted-modules and it's not better. I have also
install fglrx with synaptics and reconfigure xserver-xorg but X didn't load.
