I can reproduce this in a Virtualbox VM. A snapshot from yesterday
worked fine, but after doing today's updates I too get the error
message: "the greeter seems to be broken ... try again".
I'm wondering if this is happening to all people who update, or just

success (it either times out or crashes firefox at the point where the

choosing "save link as" worked for me, and should allow you to do
