Summery posted first, real usecase/bug report below. This is on a fully
patched Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix on the Dell Mini 9.
1) UNR comes up on the wrong screen.
2) There's no way to get it to move to the right screen.
3) It defaults to popping up everything on top of itself
Jumping into the discussion, why not just install it on first sync?
Step one: plug in Palm.
Step two: device-kit or jockey (I'm not sure, but whatever software - similar
to codec-install) says "Hey! I can use this but you have to click "Ok" to
install some software first!"
Step three: user click

If you close the bug, then I'd have to open another one when I next

is to run gdb ALL THE TIME which isn't really feasable,

I don't think eds is crashing. Its PID is a low number (compared to the
rest) and appears pretty high up in "ps ax". I wasn't expecting this to

The best steps I can describe are to click on the panel. It doesn't
happen as often anymore, but I just managed to reproduce it (all updates
applied). I usually have evolution open, but I can't remember if it was
open or not when all the other freezes occured.

I decided to take the plunge to Intrepid Ibex tonight, and that was a
mistake: my machine no longer boots. After working around song OHCI
bugs, my machine doesn't boot because it can't find the disk to boot
from - I've tried toggling IDE emulation in my BIOS to no effect. I am
I made backups, and I just tried hibernating and suspending my machine
with a custom hardy git kernel, and I could hibernate without problems.
Although I couldn't successfully resume due to an issue with nVidia's
binary driver I still suffered no data corruption.

This is my first debdiff, but this removes the Evolution entry from
Internet (as well as the duplicate entry in alacarte mentioned above).
The reason I removed that was because it was added in debian/ so this is
closer to upstream. If this approach isn't the best, perhaps we could
still eliminate t

I've had the exact same problem. STR will corrupt the super block off of
the bootable linux partition, and the other drives just wind up
corrupted. So /dev/sd[boot] winds up having to be reformatted (because
everything is in /lost+found), but everything is okay after the journal
recovers. Other not
I briefly thought it may have been a HW issue, but when I daemonize
pulseaudio, muting and unmuting the sound brings it back (for a short
while).
