- The host and guest are both kubuntu precise and both up-to-date
- the errors differs I guess based on the resolution I chose. Choosing 1366x768
generated those errors.
- Because the log file contains errors like:

It's still very slow unless one used the --enable-kvm. The option should
be a default option for kvm and kvm-spice. If someone called qemu
instead the option shouldn't be enabled by default. This is how things
used to be at least as far as I know.

I now retested with 8 speakers connected and tested both alsa and pulseaudio
behaviour since its inconsistent.
Alsa issues (test with speaker-test -Dplug:surround71 -c8 -twav):
green (Headphone/Front) jack: works properly and plays Front Left and Front

are coming from the surround speakers (grey) but they are very low that I
didn't notice.

Pressing mute key displays the notification bubble and does mute the key but

Bryce, I am sorry for the inaccurate comment. I consider this bug fixed
now. I am facing another issue which shouldn't be confused with this
bug.

My HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC has a speaker LED that can be pressed to
mute/unmute the sound and it works great but the LED should change its
color to RED when the sound is muted and that doesn't happen.
Pressing that key shows in
/var/log/messages
Yes, I am the original reporter and the bug is still valid for the same
mono video I tried before. I tested now with latest karmic snapshot.

I am using Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g in Dell Studio 15 and
Intrepid. The blue bars that show the strength is not accurate at all. I
am within 1 cm from my router and only two blue bars are shown. nm-
applet works great
