I also have this issue on a new build of Kubuntu 16.10, which has had
postfix, dovecot and amavis installed on;

amavisd-new is already the newest versio
Unfortunately, there is no information in this bug report about why the
package is in an inconsistent state, like a dpkg run that ended in an
error. Please try reinstalling libfont-afm-perl.

Some function keys work.
Function plus F1 puts the machine to sleep
Function plus F7, F8, F9 control the volume

Launching Bless from terminal gives a fault, like the one below. I
launched bless like this "sudo bless /dev/sda1". Additionally, just
launching "bless" gives the same fault even if preferences.xml is
deleted prior to launching. The preferences.xml doesn't seem complete?!
