I noticed *exactly* this behaviour when switching from Debian Wheezy to
Jessie. Very annoying for multi-monitor setups. I haven't tested Ubuntu,
but it's probably an issue upstream if it's in Debian too, and thus
probably still an issue for Ubuntu. Perhaps I'll try to find time to
