I had a similar bug with Fedora 24 which drove me nuts. Analog output
was always switched back to digital, losing sound. Changing it in
pavucontrol didn't last longer than a few seconds. With the patch from
comment 12, my problem is fixed!

change of "Using NVIDIA driver metapackage from nvidia-

installation, system failed to boot. All i get was a blank screen,

I can confirm this. This morning after upgrading I found myself with a
US keyboard layout without realizing why, and with no way to get back to
my own, not from dpkg/reconfigure keyboard/configuration nor from
localectl. (those are supposed to be hyphens, yeah)

BUT right-clic on the .deb, then "open with gdebi" => gdebi launch, et
show the .deb file. But clic on "install" button, and gdebi close

german but the Logitech K270 bluetooth keyboard has the english layout.
Sometimes it even persists after login and the bluetooth keyboard stays

Dimitri, I thought we looked into plymouth and it was doing additional
setup during boot that caused us to leave it in the image. I wish I
could recall what all that way. Anyhow, if that has changed we'd be
open to it. Can you make the description a lot more descriptive and
discuss 'why' we want
Is absolutely no one looking into this issue?
This issue has been with Ubuntu since 17.04 and we are in 19.04 at the
moment. I have multiple Ubuntu server clusters and this issue is
breaking every dns name resolution in all of them. I am unable to
reliably collect logs and manage systems over the
coreutils in Ubuntu.

function does not interpret any escape sequences
