Ah, a few lines earlier in the logs suggest that /etc/gdm3/Xsession is
running, and indeed that's a shell script similar to /etc/X11/Xsession
but without defining `has_option`. So probably a fix here is simply to
define that function in /etc/gdm3/Xsession.

Any additional info I can provide? Not sure what modules to even
troubleshoot. I was able to find other instances of people complaining
about the same so this seems to be common to this hardware and not just
a one off situation.

supported by python-apt and hence software-properties, hence I believe
it's not shown, as --list likely only shows valid sources.
