Ok, checking the recent tests it seems that vorlon and juliank are on it
already.

I also has this issue of losing audio and having to reinstall pulseaudio
to get it back to work. The latest pulseaudio update
(1:13.99.2-1ubuntu2) did not seem to solve the issue.

The above steps about removing snd_rn_pci_acp3x didn't work consistently
for me, but one thing that *has* (albeit a pain) is to boot with
snd_hda_intel blacklisted in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and then
when I'm logged in, comment out that line and load it with modprobe.
I still get weird beha
The result on Ubuntu 20.04.1 is 'unconfined'.
Is this bad or to be expected?
I've noticed that Ubuntu 20.04 doesn't seem to handle multiple users

As regards other concurrent fixes, I first asked Iain Lane if there is
such a plan for groovy, but the most likely SRU in pipeline would be a
focal update to 3.24.23, so he gave me a 'green light' for this groovy
one.
The bug is an annoying one. Maybe the importance was set too low...
