Upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04 with Nautilus/"Files" 3.36.3-stable
and there is no middle-click drag context menu. I see this has been an
issue for a while now, so I'm hoping this isn't *yet another* useful
feature Nautilus/Gnome developers have taken out for reasons most of us
can't fathom, but people are still looking at this as a bug, so I'm just
confirming it is still an issue in 20.04.1 LTS.

Title:
dragging file with middle mouse button doesn't show "Copy/Move/Link"
  context menu

Status in Nautilus:
  Invalid
Status in gtk+3.0 package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
middle mouse a file, drag and drop it used to bring out a copy, move, etc
dialog. This is now missing in 16.10.
Can we please have this back, and an option to make the shortcut using
rightclick + drag would be an improvement also.
