Until todayI thought the webbrowser (and ALL the webapps) on Ubuntu
14.10 desktop were unusable - copy and paste is essential. Have found a
workaround by right clicking on the web page, and the touch dialogue
comes up for paste. This is a major functionality issue, and should be

Ok, I've investigated this, and it turns out:
statd-mounting.conf intercepts nfs mounts and waits for the statd daemon to be
run
statd.conf starts on (virtual-filesystems and started portmap ON_BOOT=y)
rpcbind.conf is what emits the started portmap event:

Upstart shouldn't require an INSTANCE variable for that to work, and
nfs-utils shouldn't be waiting on the portmap job, as that is for legacy

Has that network-manager fix hit ubuntu-rtm/devel yet? Because without
these qtbearer/qnam patches, I'm still seeing images loading issues.
The problem is not manually disabling the AP, but when moving (roaming)
from one to another, i.e. moving from wlan coverage to 3g coverage, or
from 3g to wlan
So this looks like it is very likely an issue with u-d-m having been
rebuilt when copied to vivid, while unity-scope-click was a binary copy,
and a change in perhaps Qt resulted in a binary incompatibility which
causes this crash, and a simple rebuild fixes it. As there is a change
to the scope in

I'm not able to reproduce this any longer (mako, vivid #25), but some
people are experiencing this with the same configuration.
The code that uses the downloads.db has not been touched in ~6 months,
so it sounds likely that this problem is due to a broken file. I'll try

Right you are! Sorry, I forgot about the special status of the
LocationDataNeeded, which is automagically added by the shell.
This is actually not a scopes-api issue, it's the shell that's not
translating this.

Note that this can cause confusion for apps that ship with a .service
file. A fix may not take effect, or a breakage may not be noticed,
since the old, working configuration persisted. (This latter case bit
