Thank you for the quick reply. I'm running VMware over windows. I'm using
the default audio backend. This issue wasn't there with previous instanced
of Ubuntu I've used in VMware. I've reinstalled another instance of Ubuntu
on VMware and there's less Audio chopping, but it's still there

When booting, screen turns all white right after text "init-bottom" or
something like that. Can't access cli, so I have to use power button to reboot.
Usually, after 4-5 forced reboots, then system will run normal.

I think this is no longer a bug. This is related to Python issue 19021
and all fixes were cherry picked into 3.4.0, which Trusty and Utopic
have. If you are still able to reproduce it, please reopen the bug and
provide a recipe on whichever version of Ubuntu you're using. Thanks!
