I am running Squirrelmail 1.4.23 on a raspberry pi, PHP7.0.33-0+deb9u6 and
every now and again have to revert to Thunderbird because a message cannot
be seen in whole or in part on Squirrelmail.
Could this have anything to do with the Locale setting, namely en_ZA.UTF-8
UTF-8 ?

Hello,
I just installed a fresh copy of squirrelmail on: an SMP Debian
3.2.57-3 x86_64 GNU/Linux host.
Several virtual domains are hosted on this host.
Followed install procedure here:

Hi!
I use 'Fail2Ban' to email me security alerts, which I then forward to
someone else. I've modified it to include translations of the message.
The original message looks great in SquirrelMail, but when I hit
'forward', it mangles the foreign characters in the editor and in the
outgoing email.
Hi All,
Is there a way to automatically mark a message as read, when I open it?
I can't see any option.
Cheers,
Charles Poulsen

Just curious, more than anything:
Are you hooking SquirrelMail to MS Exchange, or are you going to use a
different IMAP server?

Have you checked out the "message_details" plugin? It might be close

I had the same problem on Redhat. I had to increase one of the variables in

Hi,
Is there any way to alter the order the options appear in on the options

You should make sure you've set config.php in the show_ssl_link plugin

robably your Apache config. Does the Virtual Server line that handles
SSL point to the same place as the one that handles your SM setup? Check
your error logs, there should be a line that states what file was asked
for and where in the filesystem Apache was looking for it.
Thanks,

Run config/conf.pl and go to the plugin section. Remove the plugin you
don't want and add the one you do.

I'm lost at this point. Just a reminder, it's this plugin and
