I used to run SM on a machine with no head and no X-windows.
I do all my administration remotely via SSH.

Long term your best bet would be to use a spam filtering package such as
spamassassin rather than trying to use SM's
idering spam filters (such as Spam Assassin) often take the Date:
header into account as part of their scoring sytem I think your best
option is to fix your SMTP application. You'll find SM isn't the only
email reader that doesn't like missing Date: headers.

Sounds like a problem with your courier set-up. Can you see the mail in
your users' m

fairly simple. Your PHP install doesn't have MySQL
support enabled. You should check to see if it has. If you installed
from packages, make sure you installed the mysql extensions.
Assuming that's the case, apt-get php4-mysql ought to solve the problem.

For what it is worth, I personally prefer using IMAP over POP3 as it
means that I have all of my sent and received email available to me
regardless of what email client I am using, but that's just my
irrelMail is no longer working -- when I visit the login page, it's simply blank. No error messages or anything -- I even inserting error_reporting(E_ALL); atop the login page in order to ensure that I'd be seeing any messages -- but not a thing.

mail, it will save to "mbox" and then it gets deleted from my "INBOX" in
squirrelmail. Is there a way to stop this? And if not..can I just make a
