You could try the change_passwd if you just have /etc files to worry
about, if you have PAM, or can get a working version of poppassd for
Solaris (the one in the plugin *might* work) then I'd try the Change
Password 1.4a.

This is a problem I've noticed with the STABLE and DEVEL series. It only
seems to happen when the filters plugin is activated. I've submitted a
bug report for it, but I don't know what needs to be fixed.
