filters get saved?

folder status immediately updates when you delete a
message, mark a message read/unread, etc.
Why does SquirrelMail not update the mail folder status until you
refresh the list of mail folders or wait for the time period that
refreshes the mail folders?

In SquirrelMail, when a user clicks Options | Message Filters and
creates many message filters, where are these message filters stored?
This way the user(s) can back up their message filters in case something
happens to them.

In SquirrelMail is there a default setting that would prevent a user
from logging in if they had many password failures? Is there a timeout
