When users try to login to SquirrelMail 1.2.11 after entering their username and password, the web page refreshes where the users remain
at
the login web page. The users are seeing redirect.php appear in the Internet Explorer status area when this problem occurs. This is
leading
them to think that possibly the redirect.php program is causing this problem.
This mail server is running on Red Hat Linux 8.0
[kernel-2.4.18-26.8.0],
PHP version 4.3.1, Apache/1.3.27, and imap-2001a-15.
It logs in and goes briefly to redirect.php and then back to login.php?
Yes.
This is highly suspicious, since there is no code in SM that would do that. Do you have any plugins installed? Deactivate all of them and try again. Also, check your IMAP logs to see if users are actually getting logged in at all.
Oh, and an upgrade to SM 1.4.2 isnt' a bad idea, either.

Before we upgrade our clients SquirrelMail version from 1.2.11 to 1.4.2, we want to make sure it will be a big problem for them. We are running SquirrelMail 1.4.2 on another mail server for testing.
