Hi Bruce,
I am using uw-imap which (most annoyingly) cannot have folders that

uw-imap servers were like this and that to have maildir formats I would
have to switch to (eg) courior. Is there a simple switch in UW to change

My suggestion would be to check the logs on all involved servers.
Check your apache (or whatever webserver) error_log
check your imap server logs
check that the user that your cyrus imap server is running is the same

I don't understand how the imap server would factor in...doesn't SM just

Hello all
How does one set default prefs when storing user preferences in a
database? There seems to be no documentation on this, and setting
"default_pref" doesn't seem to do it either.
Thanks

Lee, did you try deleting the file it is complaining about?
Did you check permissions on the directory, not just the file?
Before you delete it back it up to some other filename, and see if you can
login then.

Does anyone have an answer?
Or, can someone at least point me to a FAQ that addresses this as a known
issue? Failing that, is there a site for bug reporting?
Thanks!
