Go into /plugins/timeout_user/setup.php
and change the $timeout_in_minutes to a higher value. Mine is 120 (2
hours).

This is a problem with your IMAP server. Try checking for any error
messages that might be useful in your logs. (Usually in /var/log/)

Set the folder pane to refresh automatically. (Options -> Folder Options)
Every time the folder pane refreshes, the session will be "touched",
resetting the timeout.
A couple of my users have commented that if they take too long to compose an
e-mail (like they are researching the answer) they get logged out of
SquirelMail. How can I set or even disable the timeout?

chgrp -R nobody /usr/local/webmail/data
